Does anyone have information about this strip because I plan to do some runs there this weekend, but I have no information at all or where it is even located. Can someone help me out?

are you sure its at the Pomona RAceway?

The only racing I know if this weekend is at the CAlif. Speedway in Fontana.

hmm im not totally sure now because people keep telling me there is a strip down in Pomona.

 

the only time that they are going to race at Pomona is on the last weekend of October...... but it is a NHRA import race.... but it is a must if you have never raced there...... just to say that you have raced on that track

 

So does anyone know any strips close to Irvine?

 

on DRAG RACE tracks in southern california are:

Pomona RAceway: 1 event per year for Import cars, no more street legal weekends

LACR/Palmdale: racing every wed night, fri night and weekends(depending on if there are events.

Carlsbad RAceway: not sure of schedule, but they are on most weekends.

I'll bet you didn't know that back in the 60's and 70's Irvine had the best drag strip in the world. It was called Orange County Int Raceway. The entrance was at Sand Canyon and the 5 freeway. You could actually look into the pits as you drove down the 5. It hosted many national events and ran every Wed and Sat.
