Is anyone here attending the DC region autocross at Rosecroft Raceway this weekend? I am new to the DC region (raced in Philly this summer) and would like to get some feedback on the quality of drivers, organization, etc.? I have pre-registered but I am not quite sure how it works. My position number is 120. Does this mean first heat, 20th driver? Any DC region H-T member input would be great.

 

yup, first heat, 20th driver.. i am on the waiting list..

basically, when you arrive, you find the registration tent.. you register, pay your money, then get your car up to tech.. pass tech..

walk throughs are allowed, they will announce when. then a drivers meeting, and you'll most likely be in the "b" session.. 2nd part of the first heat.. understand? you'll work first then run.

drivers are decent, some much more better than others.. the cars are the best, i think:
Lotus super 7
caterham super 7
lotus europa
and last event we had an A mod car.. dunno what it was, but it was fast..

good events, and great people.. most know how to drive. there are a few novices and newbies every time, though..
