Default D16a6 Rebuild.

hey guys, I'm planning on getting a "low mileage jdm engine" from one of those less than ideal places that sells them. When I get it I want to rebuild it, so I'm making a list of the things I need to get and do to this engine while it's apart. So far I have:

Engine gasket set(fel-pro)
Main, and rod bearings(sealed power)
Piston rings, and thrust washers(sealed power)
Timing belt and Water pump(dealer)
ARP head stud kit

I am not sure if this list is complete enough. I am gonna get the block honed and hot tanked(if it doesn't need more than just a hone). If you guys know of anything else I should definetely have then let me know please!

just curious as to why you would want to spend $400+ on a used low mileage jdm motor just to rebuild it...get yourself a beat up d16a6 or zc sohc motor off of craigslist for cheap and rebuild that one.

i just bought a used zc sohc motor from www.cncmotors.com back in 01/2010 and it runs like a champ.

No point in buying a new motor when you are going to rebuild it.
