Radiator for B18C swap
When doing my B18C swap I noticed the radiator hoses are 1 1/4 inch and the OEM radiator for the EG has a 1 1/8 inch inlet size. I think 1/8 inch is a little too much to clamp down. All the OEM half size radiators, B16A2 also, has a 1 1/8 inch inlet. Which half size radiator can I use that will have a 1 1/4 inch inlet size?

you can use your rad. it will work fine. ive been using my dx rad with my swap for a long time with now prob, just make sure the hose clamp is tight and you wont have a problem with it leaking
But do you know why people say I can use the del Sol radiator? I checked on both Advance Auto's and Autozone's website and it says the del Sol VTEC's radiator is 1 1/8 inch as well!! I just don't want to use the clamping of 1/8th of an inch unless I really have to.
I've always heard to use the DelSol vtec radiator if you're really concerned about temps, but still want to use a half-size.
I've been running my y8 radiator for over 2 years on my B18C1 with no problems. Water temps are around 174-190 while cruising. They might get around 215 in traffic when it's 95 out and I have the air on. All of those temps are well within normal factory specs, and are virtually identical to the temps that my stock d16y8 ran, and on my stock CRV.
Yes, you do have to clamp tighter, but I haven't had any leaks. Use the heavy duty screw-type hose clamps, and tighten them down good. Mine were leaking a bit right after I swapped, but I just tightened them down more and they haven't leaked since then.

I have been using a regular SOHC 1/2 size radiator with my LS for over 2 years now and have no problems. Like Vindicator said, just use clamps that have a screw so you can tighten it down instead of using the factory style pinch clamps. It will be fine.
Their info is wrong. Go buy a 95-97 del sol vtec radiator hose and measure the I.D. of the hose. I just bought a new upper hose for my B16A swap and it was 1 1/4", but like said above, nothing a worm gear clamp cant fix.
But if it bothers you that much, you can always buy a used JDM B16A EG6/9 radiator from one of the importer websites, Hmotorsonline.com has them.

Oh, true. That would be the only OEM way to do it, the JDM B16A EG6 radiator. Otherwise I guess you can get a mishimoto or something, but I'm not too sure that their half size ones have a 1 1/4" inlet.
