Default ls/vtec no compression cyl. 1

i have a low compression ls/v built for turbo, heres the deal...theromstat stuck closed head gasket melted car still ran fine but with an oil leak. after puttting in the new cometic hybrid gasket, i had a no start i have spark, 20-160-160-160 compression readings. took the head off no bent valves n cracks in the head cam lobes r fine motor is brand new only 11k on the build so i wouldnt think rings. Anyone got any idea on what else to check or do?
