Ever since my ex intake manifold swap i had this annoying small and slow surge.
I checked for vacuum leaks and nothing.
Today i took out my throttle body to clean it out good and put it back in, to my surprise when i turn it back on, the car's idle at startup goes all the way to redline so i have to hold the clutch in 1st and let go a little to bring it down until it sets and starts its surge, and there is a very loud hissing from the intake filter as if the car were breathing more at idle than before.
All i did was take the throttle body out and cleaned it really good with carb/throttle body cleaner and now the problem gets worse ? Give me a break...... i'm about to just quit, anyone have any ideas ?

 

did you put the gasket back on the tb? did you mess with the tension of the throttle cable? did you check all of your nipples on the manifold for leaks?

 

Yes i checked all that stuff and it was all right and nothing...
