need help b18c red lines at 3k

Default need help b18c red lines at 3k

if any one can help me .. i have a 94 honda civic hatch back EG it has an b18c1 block with 01 head its runs on a b17 ecu and has 2step and tuned with type r intake manifo the car is 0bd 1 and doesnt have jumper harness not needed new dizzy and changed ecu and still redlines at 3k also changed all senors to manifo.. please tell me if im missing something or is way off. it redlines all gears at 3k ... thank bros

vehicle speed sensor. its a sensor on the back of your transmission casing. it wont throw a code, but will limit how high your car will rev and your speed.

its a tps sensor. guarenteed. get the b17 crap off there and set it up on a type r ecu.

how am i suppose to get a type r ecu and where can i find that sensor also the b17 was working perfect why would it do that out of the blue and i have an chiped out p28 for gsr does the same thing....thanx bro

just try a different ecu first. as long as its tuned with the right map and redline you will be fine. you can even use a single cam ecu to test. but since you have already excluded the ecu, thats the tps.

the tps sensor should be on the back side of the throttle body. you will need a tps from any b series.

you will need to remove your throttle body and drill out the oem brake off screws on the tps sensor. they are threded so when you get the replacement it will bolt right back in. you will need to get another pair of small bolts to hold it in.

did i ask... are you throwing any codes?

did you use the odb1 or odb2 dizzy? did you cut the wires if you used the odb1 dizzy (read it was a 98 block, 01 head) pics of everything on your engine bay would be great.

ok will do but its an 0bd1 dizzy plugs right in two of them and i also checked the vss and its pluged and i was thinging wire harness for the ecu side can any one point me the right direction also check and changed ecu same thing happens..

Most important question of the thread right here^^^

Are you throwing any codes? If so, start there first. The right CEL is the quickest way to get a low rev limit.
