2000 Acura Integra Type R
Phoenix Yellow
#00-1187
105,000 miles
This is my 2nd R, and the first that is actually roadworthy. My other is a 98 clean-title theft-recovery with the original powerplant that I've been slowly restoring over the last year. Bringing an R back to life is a very rewarding endeavour, but buying one that is all there and needs little or nothing is just so much easier.
I've had the 00 for a couple weeks now. Driving and enjoying a clean, complete R has gotten me more motivated to finish the 98. Up until recently, I only had a vague notion of what the 98 could be in the end. But now I have a complete, tangible representation of its potential.
I was never really fond of the Phoenix Yellow until I got up close and personal with one. It has truly grown on me. The car has its share of cosmetic blemishes, but for a 10 year old car with 100k miles, its in solid shape. Its 98% factory stock, with the only two modifications being an Injen CAI and a DC Sports Ceramic 4-1 header. They will soon be replaced by a Mugen intake and Hytech header as soon as I can get them out of storage. My only other immediate plans for the car is a Hytech Twin-Loop and FastLine shifter.
I browse this forum on a daily basis, but rarely post. I figured this was a good opportunity to introduce both myself and the R's. Enjoy the pics!

Thanks for the kind words. The paint on the bumper covers and mirrors is a little faded, and the front portion of the passenger fender is a little boogered up, but overall I'm satisfied with its exterior condition, given the age and miles. Its the interior and the engine bay that really impresses me on this one.

Well done mate, that is a wonderful find. Kudos on saving another R. :-) It's amusing because the more I realize I have some spare cash, the more a Mugen intake insidiously creeps into the pleasure zone of my brain. I know I don't need it but still! In any case, your Rs are in good hands :-)
nice to see another R thats driven! its cool to see low mileage R's but even cool to see well kept higher mileage R's!
I've been watching this one on autotrader is it still for sale? or is that just an old ad?
