Default Data acquisition system for the track

In an effort to improve on the track (both in getting used to the ITR and to just get better) I have been considering my options. I have heard good things about Traqmate, but I was wondering if ya'll have any experience / opinions on such a system? Ideally I'd like a good camera mount (probably an autopower race rollbar setup, benefit that I can put good safety gear in) with HD quality video, rpm and mph, gas/brake, and gps. Any and all advice is most welcome, thanks!

Hi,

Take a look at:

http://www.victorylanedata.com/

AIM has been around for about 20 years in many forms of racing. Pretty versatile.

Keep in mind that all DA stuff requires a bit of head scratching and cursing to get right. Not to mention the time and experience needed to review/interpret the data. The Big Guys employ 'data scrapers' just for that job.

Thanks for that information! I will certainly check that out. You raise a good point about interpreting the data such that I can make use of it in a positive way. Seminars and the like seem like they could be very beneficial in sorting things out.

The first time you look at a set of graphs, its like "Huhhhhhhh??????????"
After a while it starts making sense.

Once it makes sense, you have to come up with a plan as to what you want to try on the track. At least now you can see the differences and when your changes have an effect.

I would agree that Aim Sports is the way to go.
