Default trans sticking?

hey guys about 8 months back i got my auto trans fluid changed, the guy used synthetic fluid because he ran out of the honda fluid..now the trans is starting to stick when i start the car sometimes, its a 2000 civic ex
also I am wondering if the keyless system on my car is still dependent on the stock radio?, ive searched google and no luck with answers.. because mine never came with one and i'd love to have keyless

also in February i managed to lock my brakes up and hit a curb doing 30 around a round-a-bout in the rain, basically had to do 2k in repairs, passenger side control arms got bent an inch back, had to buy a new rim tire was free though :D, and the mechanic replaced the timing belt/water pump and all that fun stuff. could that be an issue?

MOST honda transmissions are only supposed to use 10-30 MOTOR oil. what a nice mechanic he is using a different type of oil so you would go back to him and he gets more money doing a transmission job... 98% of mechanics only care about money... also I am wondering if the keyless system on my car is still dependent on the stock radio?, ive searched google and no luck with answers.. because mine never came with one and i'd love to have keyless that ? i dont really understand. but if you have keyless entry and its somehow rigged up to the radio. it might not work if you get a aftermarket radio aka non stock but if you mean that you want keyless entry which i think thats what you mean. a keyless entry conversion kit from ebay or other websites would need their own wiring so it doesnt go connected to your radio; instead it should get power from your battery... im not really to sure what can cause your issue but i strongly suggest that you find another mechanic but before you do change your transmission fluid to 10-30 motor oil and i wouldnt put synthetic because thats very thin and if its 10 30 it will be even thinner because its synthetic oil

ok, well looks like within the next two weeks im going to go to a HONDA dealer and get the trans fluid changed there.

not really a suprise that the mechanic used synthetic considering he "ran" out of the 10-30
looks like im going to be looking for a new mechanic then.

the trans is an auto

if he screws up my trans im pretty much going to sue the hell outa him and make him fix his mistakes

or ill just take the cheap route and do a auto-manual swap..

Older honda manual transmissions called for 10w30, the OP has an automatic, which obviously you can't run 10w30 in.

10w30 is for manual trannys

you NEED honda automatic transmission fluid. Just change it yourself, takes like 30 minutes

if it doesn't help swap it out for a manual transmission, screw paying $1k to have yours fixed

if you want to spend 1k.. get a b18 swap and just sell that D engine and tranny... the b series will bolt right in and you can also buy a auto to manual conversion kit
