fixed pics from my accident (9-11).

pictures are real poor quality, i know. all i had was a shitty disposable camera. the pics are also pretty small.

















i'm still finding out whether or not this is my fault or his according to the insurance companies. i'm almost positive it was his. we had a witness that's on my side and told the police what saw.

this is pretty much what happened...

my roomate and i got hungry so we went out to Subway to get something to eat, got the food and left. i pulled out of the parking lot onto 51 South to turn around because 51 is two lanes heading in each direction with a middle turn lane and it was about 5:30 so it was rush hour traffic and crossing 4 lanes of traffic is almost impossible. the left lane was full of traffic and the right lane was empty, so i pulled into the right lane and about 100 yrds down the road someone in the left lane was letting someone heading north cross over both south bound lanes and into a parking lot. right as i got next to the guy that was letting the truck cross, the guy in the ranger accelerated real quick and went right into me. i was going about 30 -35 when we hit.

my hatch got pretty F'ed as you can see in the pic. the ranger barely had any damage because i went right into his tire. as you can see in the pic, the truck is almost mint except for the brocket axel and bumper (probably).

*EDIT* i found out the cars not totaled so i'm going to have it fixed. i get to keep the ol' Si after all.

That sucks man. More than likely they will total your
car. Hopefully a nice 96+ hatch will come your way.

Damn, sorry about your hatch. At least you and your roomate are not hurt. You were driving in your own lane without switching lanes right? This IDIOT plowed right into you... To me, sounds like it's totally the Rangers' fault.. Good luck and hope you win and the insurance payout is fair..

Sorry to see this. I don't know about your state, but it sounds like you were traveling on a 2 lane road when he attempted to cross. That should be a clear cut case of right of way. You had the right of way. His fault.
