Problem with tire hop!!!!
I was at the track yesturday for the first time since i blew my first 18c1. When I had the first one in my rex, it went 14.2 @ 95 on check engine. It had a stock pressure plate w/ a street/strip act clutch, shitty intake, skunk2 mamifold and full exhaust. Yesturday I went to the track with a 97 b18c1 w/ a act heavy duty pressure plate, act sreet strip clutch, falkin azenis drag radials,jg edelbrock intake manifold, 2 1/4" piping to a es muffler and a shitty intake. I launched around 5000 and vtec opens at 4900. I heated the tires up so much and the crar pulled a 2.19 60ft but the thing hopped like crazy. It went 14.5 @ only 91 mph!!! Mt next launch was even worse. I launched it again and it hopped more. I also have a pr3 ecu w/ the stock 7800 liniter and the gsr's limiter is higher, so I need to chip it. I was wondering what I can do to get less hop and more traction if anyone can help!! Thankz

i have a set of unused energy suspension bushings for the crossmember struts if you want.they will help the wheel hop not eliminate.i personally have a z10
i installed the es radius rod bushings and they don't help very much. i need a jim fab crossmember!!!
oh, and i don't remember falken azenis being drag radials!!!

FRONT CROSSMEMBER, thats it. The Z10 crossmember is the best on the market. There are 2 others, if you search the posts, that have recently been developed. All will prevent wheel hop.
I have the energy suspension bushings already and they dont do very much either but thanks, I dunno if i should heat those azenis up or not, I will probably have to get a front crossmember, if i heat them up will it make it hop???

check your motor mounts. If one is broken or bad (especially the one on the tranny) it will cause terrible wheel hop.
Falken Azenis are horrible tires for drag and are not drag radials. Get real drag radials and try again.
with street tires you only need to turn them over like 1 time. Try to avoid the water box like an AIDS infected hooker.
