Default crower valve install question

I just bought some crower intake and exhaust valves, dual springs and retainers, and I'm hopefully gonna get them installed sometime soon. My question is that since both sets of valves are oversized by .5 mm is there anything special that I would have to get done to make sure they fit correctly? I did a search and only got more confused. What are valve reliefs? Is that gonna be something I need to worry about? Oh, btw this is for a 96 teg se (ls- b18b) 5 spd. Thanks in advance for any help y'all can give me.

Default Re: crower valve install question (asiangel)

you most deffinatly can not install them yourself.

you HAVE to bring the head allong with the valves to a machine shop and have the valve seats cut so the valves will seat properly. AND since you got .5mm oversized valves you have to have them port and open up the valve seats and the inake and exhaust ports of the head. and they might have to also do come combustion chamber work.........all in all your gonna be spending quite a bit of cash at the mashine shop to have it done correctly...........

you will no have to worry about valve reliefs in that engine unless you changed the pistons........

good luck
