Question about ECU's affecting my fuel pressure.
Had a bad storm about a week ago, and it managed to leak (which I fixed of course.) and fry my h22a vtec computer. So, I put an h23 ecu in it, so I can drive it around. Problem is, when I put the h23 computer in, the fuel pressure jumped about 7-10 lbs higher. h23's run smaller injectors so I am completely confused. The h22a computer ran the fuel pressure at 40-43. The h23a computer is running 49-52 and making my car run extremely rich and I get the gas mileage of a hummer, and also have horrible power. There is no get up and go, not that I expected there to be any. Just curious why my fuel pressure sky rocketed. I can deal with less power til I get a new h22a computer if my gas mileage would be fine. I've quit driving it lately because I know the engine is going through a lot of stress, I get a constant Code 43 CEL for Fuel Supply System. Anybody know how I can drop the fuel pressure, or if it's just not possible until I get the right computer again.

now why on earth would you do something like that? good thing you stopped driving the car. im sure the plugs are fouled up by now. does your car use a catalytic converter as of right now? if it does and lets say you ran the car long enough that way, chances are you could wind up ruining the catalytic converter as well. the last thing you need is some carbon build up
Sounds like it's a good thing I'm not driving it then. Didn't know all that could happen. Should be ordering the right ecu this week. Chipped p28 with a Base tune. The leak is fixed now, grabbed some adhesive silicone and packed it around the windshield lol.
And ya, I have a high flow cat. I had only driven it like 4 places, plus back home. So I didn't run it very long and I definitely didn't dog it, I knew better than that. Figured the motor would already be under enough stress.
