well i searched and didnt really come up with many threads on the subject so i thought id make one
my gf currently has an 00 cr-v ex, has 111,000 miles and she has owned it for the past 13,000 miles
in that 13,000 miles she has averaged around 23mpg with the best being lately 26mpg
i was wondering whats the best anyone has gotten out of the first gen cr-v and what mods they took to get there
current modifications are new plugs/wires/rotor/cap, k&n air filter, semi-synthetic oil, 89 octane gas, and tire psi is around 30psi (going to try and bump the pressure up to get better mileage)
i want to get a nice header and put a test pipe on it since when i did these mods to my current civic i got 3mpg better on average
she uses the vehicle for her job and gets paid 50cents a mile so every bit of better fuel economy will help save her money significantly over the course of a year where she will put 30,000 miles on it
any other tips/tricks and what your getting for mileage would be great

well i wouldnt throw a hack like afc or just adjusting pressure, if i wanted it tuned a wideband would be thrown in and it would get a street tune but im not sure if automatics can be tuned with crome etc
