93 civic dx coupe feel slower after new tire instalation
i have LS wheels on my civic and they used to have 205 50's on them until the other day when i got a new set of tires for them. i did my research and found that 195 50's are a much better choice because of clearance issues and that they are the closest to the original tire diameter. after picking up the 195's my car feels as if it accelerates slower than before with the 205's, what could be the issue here?
grip and or rolling resistance due to the rubber on the road. you actually slightly geared the car down. often that's an increase in 0-60 times
Yup. Any slowing down is in your head; the smaller diameter tires should help the car accelerate faster, not slower, as long as the new tires are at least as sticky as the old ones.
thanks guys, I picked up a set of the BFG g-force super sports for a good deal and i'm loving them. I think your right nsxtasy it must just be in my head lol. I need new suspension like crazy that's probably why I feel this way. They're stockies and all 4 are blown
