Default Can I get some easy help please?

Hey guys, im new to the forums, and im new to modding. I just bought an 01 honda accord, and i was looking for some help.

My front and rear bumpers are a little scratched up and scuffed just look bad. I wanted to completely replace them I was just wondering where would be a good place be to find good quality parts for my car?

all i see on ebay are some ricer kits from fast and the furious >.>

Thanks.

If you want stock like bumper covers you want polyurethane. Or you could try fiber reinforced plastic. I would check out www.wingswest.com Avoid cheap ebay kits. They are wavy, thin and will break.

If you are looking for stock replacements, find a Keystone Automotive or similar aftermarket part supplier. Their Platinum Plus line bumpers fit well and look pretty good. Of course, nothing beats the OE part. If the they are still structurally sound, just have them refinished at a body shop. You'll pay to have new ones painted anyway, so that will save you money on parts if that's an issue. Most bumpers can be overhauled and refinished to like new appearance with just a little effort. I've done lots of them.

if the bumper is only skinned slightly, that spot can be feathered out with rough sandpaper on a DA sander and filled with body glaze to level it back out. Simple fix for any decent body man. You would be looking at about 500-600 to repair and refinish both bumpers with quality materials. Find a small body shop that you can trust. Most large production shops won't spend the time on something like this to get it right. they would rather replace them to significantly reduce the labor time.
