Default new car ls vtec question

so i finally got rid of my jetta vr6 and traded it for an ls vtec. i love the car and plan on keeping it until it gets stolen. hopefully not. i have a b18b1 block and a gsr head not sure the year or mileage on them. the only thing that im wondering about is he used a b16a ecu..i dont think its even chipped. is that a problem that i might have? the idol sometime goes so low it sounds like it might shut off. im not sure if thats the reason. any info on this would help a lot thanks.

Adjust the idle at the throttle body, it dosent need to be chipped but it would help you ALOT.

Well you can run a P72 (GSR) ecu which will work great.
Or for optimum performance get the car tuned.... Options are endless: Crome, Hondata, NepTune etc.....

yes get a jdm obd1 gsr ecu and it will plug in directly.. if your idle is low though it sounds like you have something else going on. check idle screw as stated above and swap the ecu and go from there

as long as the ecu is obd1 its plug and play. as of the ecu ive heard of people using p28 for that set up and you gotta get it chipped and tuned. either way getting the p72 ecu you should chip and tune it so you have the maximum power achieved from your set up
