Did 96-00 hatches have different rear interior panels/rear seats?

I have a gutted 98 hatch and i bought a set of full rear interior for 150 but nothing seems to fit. I have no idea what year car it came from. The trunk cover does not fit and neither do the side panels. Will the fricken seats at least fit?

 

no they were all gray, you should have bought ctr rear interior, its all black

 

I live in canada. Noone cares if i have MAD CTR parts. I dont care about the color... The grey matches the rest of my interior anyway.

Anyway my question was... Whats the difference between different ek rear interiors? Why doesnt this crap fit?

 

You probably bought coupe panels.

 

what doesn't fit? and i only suggested ctr interior because its black and looks better, ive been in this game long enough not give a F***! what ppl think about what color interior i have

 

The clips on the trunk panel are different and it has a different shape around the trunk latch. The side panels fit good near the back, but the front half is way out of wack. Where the floor drops at the front of the backsest the panels dont line up at all. With the panel resting on the floor it sits about 2-3 inches above the window!

Its weird because the car is a 98. I Also have a 2000 hatch and the panels i have for the gutted 98 are different than the ones in the 2000, but it looks like my 98 needs the same panels as my 2000 does...

 

i had the same problem last year when i bought the inner panels for my EK

i had to trace then cut the lower part of the panel

if you look closely, the part where it drops to floor from the rear seats are not the same as the 98..

i think you know what im trying to say, right? i had to trace then cut to make it look like the same as my old panel

 

Yeah exactly...butyoujust cut it to fit and the rest of the panel fit fine?

So what year panels do i have?
I will try cutting them.

 

the 96-98 civic hatch has a different hatch, latch, plastic and release than the 99-00 .. the seats should fit... IDK . I have never had both sets
