Default Converting Fuel and Brake Hard Lines to SS Braided?

Would this be okay?

Has anybody done this? Converting all hard lines to stainless steel braided (from gas tank to fuel filter, etc. Brake master to all brakes, etc.).

The hard lines on my car are rusted out. At the moment, I have a fuel leak due to rotted fuel lines. The brake lines on my car are headed that way too.

Just get new hard lines, they will last for the life of the car. And be safer, and cheaper.

Okay well... What made me think of doing stainless was because the roads get salted like crazy up here in Canada.

braided lines are not designed to run the length of the car for brakes, the braided lines that you buy for brakes, are special high pressure lines, they are just designed to replace flex hoses at the wheels. as far as hard line, make sure you buy the double wall tube meant for brakes, and they are special flares, the fuel you can also buy made just for that use. I'm not sure about the metric flares, I would like some more info on that myself. I have hard lines on my 86 accord that run factory INSIDE of the car, both brake and fuel. I need to create new larger fuel lines and it has be bent just like factory. I think summit racing carries all the proper rolls of lines.

Woah that's so cool! I would've never thought to run the lines inside the car. Thanks a million for the excellent tip!

See, when it comes to making hardlines, I'm clueless... flare in, flare out, line sizing, etc. it's all alien to me. Hence why I asked about running SS braided lines (easy)

I think I got my answer and solution now.

one thing to remember with the factory lines inside of the car, there are no connections made inside of the car itself. this is to prevent any kind of fuel leaks inside of the cabin area. the lines run inside of the frame rail area. on my car it has rails that run the length of the car, but on top of the floor pans, like the floor pans are inverted.
