My brakes act like older cars with no power brakes. There isnt any fluid leaking from anywhere. Just one day, they started acting like I said above. Pretty scary to say the least.....

you can check the booster. i would first inspect the booster vacuum line for leaks or other damage.
to check the booster:
start the engine with your foot pressing the brake. sinking slightly is normal, if it doesn't move you could have a faulty booster or check valve.
you can also press the pedal while the engine is already running. hold your foot on the pedal and cut the engine off. if the pedal rises, the booster could be faulty.
and.. when the engine has been run and then turned off pump the brakes several times with normal pressure. the pedal should rise gradually as you pump it. if it stays where it is, you could have a check valve issue.
bad brakes are a bad deal! it's best to drive it as little as possible or not at all until you can find a fix. good luck

Ok, I'll try that. I have checked vacuum lines & all that seems to look good. Also, when I hit the brakes, I can hear what sounds to be air leaking.
