I've been dealing with this problem for my accord for some time now. Having the random ideling, flashing S (sport) light, and bogging out as in turning off when i come to a stop. So i read some post here and started the fix. Checked cel code and got 43 (fuel system). Removed IACV, FITV and cleaned with sea foam, and changed air filter. Started up my baby and she roared. So i let it run for about 5 mins then took her for a spin. about 2 mins into the drive im coming to a stop and she starts to cut off. i hit the gas and keep rollin but when i do stop she stops. completely cuts off. She starts right back up but as soon as im coming to a stop she shut down.

What other steps do i need to take and what else do i need to look at changing/replacing??? I wish i wouldve taken pics (sorry) of the iacv and fitv. these things were HORRIBLY dirty. The FITV was completly blocked due to old backed up trash and gunk. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Are you gauges acting funny?

 

Yes. The speedometer works for the first 4-5 mins then its dies, then it'll bounce around and die again for the rest of the drive.

 

Have you checked your main relay? There are several threads on here explaining how to check & "repair" the main relay.

 

ok heres a quick update. i did some more research and found that the flashing S light can be a result of bad or going bad TPS sensor (Throttle angele sensor) and bad/going bad speed pulser and sensor. Changing these is the next step with the changing of spark plugs/ wires/ distributor cap & rotor.

Here's the twist....
i just went outside and cranked her up. She cranked right away. Now i had the paperclip in so i can check codes again. the flashing S light flased 6 different times.

1. 7 quick, 2. 8 quick, 3. 1 long , 4. 4 quick, 5. 1 quick, 6. 2 quick.

What the hell does this mean cause im losing a lil faith here. I find a solution to 1 thing and here comes another. anyone pleae lead me in the right direction.
