Default KandN intake

Recently purchased a KandN intake, looking at the manual and reading the specs i correctly ordered the right intake kit. But as i took off the old stock intake i ran into problem. My throttle body is sitting vertical not off to the side like what the manual says. my question is do i get a refund on my purchase and order another or try to correct the problem by right angle pipe on top of the throttle body?

Most likely you have a manifold similar to this:

I would return it and try and get the correct one for your application.. good luck and make sure you know which model civic you have. for example, CX, DX, EX, Si etc...

Just put an elbow on it for now. And then get a Y8 manifold and connect it. Because the manifolds with the top mount throttle bodies flow like ****.
