swap/suspension problems
I just did a dpfi mpfi swap with a full y8 swap.an now when i smash the gas it bogs down.I let off an smash it again an its fine.whats the deal? Also i got some adjustable upper controle arms an they hit on they frame.is it a good idea to cut it to make them fit?
suspension: I dont know why you got ones that did not fit you can mod them but you should know what you are doing. Are they hitting the upper part when you drive if so they are slipping or can you see them physically hit them you installed them if so they are to big replace them.
Ya they hit right on the frame when i lower it to the ground with my rims.i swaped them out with the stock ones but now my camber an all that is way off.But is there a diff in fuel pumps for the si an dx model?I figured it wasnt getting enough fuel soo.
technically you do not need camber kits but whatever you want.
I think the pumps are the same call your local parts store and cross ref them.
When you smash on the gas all the fuel move back torwards the back of the fuel tank and and where the fuel pump is located so it probably not that. It when you brake or turn hard you might get cutting off.
If I had to guess with out see and hearing the car check your wiring when you converted to MPFI sound like something is get lose you smash on it.
double check everything and use a meter to see any electrical problems and see you can replay the same problem you are talk about by reving the car around 2,000 rpm use some thing to hold the gas pedal and start moving things around that would move during driving and see if you can find it.
Are you shooting codes maybe something is limiting you revs and check if your sensors are all plugged in properly like the throttle position sensor.
