why was the rosen wagaon dq on sat?????
i saw on the result it was DQ, what's the deal...i know the car is legal, and i watched the whole raced and while i saw various other cars pass under yellow, it didn't so what's the basis for the dQ?
Due to the darkness, only cars that passed under the flashing yellow lights on the NASCAR banks were DQ'd. Rosen's car was called in as doing such. That's all I know.
Passing under yellow is a serious offense to be sure, but we have to be fair about things. It was extremely dark in the infield during our race and difficult to see the flagging statons (especially at speed). We (Grumpy, Jim J., Karl, Myself) made the decision after the race to waive off passes in the infield under yellow. There were quite a few of them, and it was a tough decision to make, but we are comfortable with it.
I don't expect that we'll ever have to do this again. If we ever have another night race (remember, this race was supposed to be "twilight" and end before dark), we will be better prepared.
