CAR WAS FULLY RESTORED AND SOLD

Let me start off by saying I have never worked on a Civic EF Chassis before. Only obd1 and obd2 Honda's.

I own a TSX/6MT daily. So this is strictly my work-in-progress.

I purchased the car on 5-15-10.

I will be purchasing replacement quarters. Havent decided from where though, yet. I'm looking for other replacement parts as well. Most of the interior is Intact, only missing the e-brake cover (has ek one)

It also has a Tenzo-R seat as passenger, the drivers was never installed. I have the other seat, no need to install it yet though. Looking for stock Si seats to replace them as well as door cards, i would like to convert the doors to pillar mounted seatbelt instead of the door mounted.

My plan for engine is K20a2 NA. Shaved bay like my last Civic EK Coupe, brake line tuck, wire tuck, and misc other small details.

Mostly stock exterior, Carbon hood to hide the k engine, probably 90-91 si rear bumper and maybe front, fog lights, jdm corners, and some other small details here & there.

Any help is greatly appreciated for swap information on k-series. I do have a k-swap check list, I will post it up if anyone is interested.

looks like a 89 dx instead.

89 hf has pillar mounted seat belts.

 

its a dx, the hf is also multi-point, but reguardless good luck with it

lmao typo. i actually got the car running today. its sputtering, i think its the spark plugs or timing.

 

I met mikey when the car was silver. 2.3 years later it was shaved bay with primer outside. 6 months later me and mikey paint coupe.

Total coupe time= 2.9 years.

After paint. he sold it.

Mikey if you want to do a cage let me know.

 

he only had the car for a 2 and a half years...

 

I love it...cars in better condition then mine, i'm jealous! lol.

For the money tho, i'm curious as to what has u going K? You could easily pull off a Turbo Sohc Build for half the money and make a ton of power reliably (The Tensioner's on K series motors are notoriously bad).

In either case i'm sure it's gonna be a great build man, good luck.

hey do u know if the quarters from my ef hatch will fit the rex? if so i got fresh quarters for u possibly...

 

if your part of 13203 then you have a kswap or a k-car haha.

 

yes i do know that the tensioners are notirous, but i plan on doing it aftermarket anyways. one of my friends has done a stock tensioner on his about 3 times going on 4 and still hasn't learned.

 

reason for k stated above..
as for the build, im going to be doing the quarters and rest of body before i go work on the engine. it just easier for me to not rush it becuase if the engine is in, i'll take sweet time on the body instead of get it done.

 

Sweet builds...sweet cars, still, can't argue you can get their power figures for far less, but if it's for the simple fact that they all have K's and he's a member or trying to be one ok, then it makes sense.

Either way it's an awesome platform to start from, best of luck with the build.

if you need help bringing the car down (striping it for body work.) let me know i'll bring over the engine hoist. and my tools i don't think raul wants your or your brother touching his tools, "what can we use as a hammer of **** this ratchet will do". lol j/k

Oh btw is this going to be a drag car, track car, or just a fast car to drive on the street/strip?

 

Mikey is already a part of 13203. Post pics of your coupe mikey so they can see the bay and etc. This car will probably be just a drag car. And hopefully this Dbag takes me up on a cage.! I wanna get my **** out there!

 

The good part about it being a DX is that it already has the right knuckles.
