Default Automatic Sir-G swap almost complete

Hey H-T, car started life as a 98 Integra ls Auto. At work people poked fun at how ive been talking about changing my timing belt and never did. Well sure enough on my way to work a few months back BOOM. Sheared the teeth off the timing belt and it jumped time. Went back and forth with a few ideas and decided to keep it strictly a daily driver and ended up getting a good deal on a B18C GSR swap with an auto trans backing it. Motor is in the car and only thing im waiting for is my jumper harness from peter and jason at rywire which should ship out this monday

Video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnLr9YGhkV8

Jdm Engine Zone

Wanted to upgrade and wanted something you don't see everyday. To my knowledge there is only 1 other guy who successfully did the swap using the stock 4 plug p72 ecu.

In for the pics. There was an article in a magazine a long time ago about somebody swapping in either an auto B16A or B18C into a Civic.

Using the jdm sir-g trans, from what I hear they're the exact same thing as the usdm trans. Only thing different is instead of having an ecu and a tcm I only have an ecu now.

My buddy has this same swap in an eg coupe, I was impressed with how well it runs. From the research I did while he was swapping it, the auto GSR has the same gear ratios as the Manual LS

living in CA sucks !
seems like you got a really good deal,

a lot of other places I've been looking at been offering obd1 ecu
where did you get yours ? I havnt found any 4 plug ECU offering yet

some reason jdm engine zone isn't loading up for me (re-routes me to weird search site)
is the site gone ? or do i have bugs lol

well good news is, the gsr swap into the ls is perfectly legal, but it's not easy as it sounds. for us auto guys only problem is getting vtec and a usdm ecu to work together.
and ofcourse no usdm ecu was offered in the U.S. for gsr auto to get the vtec running.
i didnt really understand him when he stated i could use the ecu i have now the p75 since it's usdm on the b18c motor and make an appointment to see if it'll pass smog. if it passes np updating and getting my swap BAR legal
and yes jdm's are still allowed but the manifolds gotta go, changed to usdm manifolds.
but he told me sometimes even usdm motors getting swapped into usdm cars get denied depending what condition the motor is in, over time the motor's c/r slightly changes and gets too high even on stock internals O.o
starting to look like a lot of head aches, it'll **** me off if i order one, then take apart the block clean some internals out and replace whatever might need to be fixed, make sure everything is running correctly and then get rejected lol.

a legal boost might be a better path for us auto guys

gah ! why is CA so strict ? i see nothing wrong with chipped ecu's damn it
need to get rid of those buses that are spreading black smoke rather than be so strict on personal cars

wow 2700 nice !

for all of those who wants to do this outside of CA,
there is another site, selling complete swap including the jdm ecu/tranny
for about 2150 shipped within the u.s. and i think it's 150 more for outside us (canada)

I'll get the link in a sec, stuck at work right now

and slidelljosh I'll let you know if i could use that ecu or not,
btw
congrats on your swap, hope it flies. my gf's ls is slow as crap
