My 1998 EK Hatch (Lots of pictures)
Hey people of Honda Tech!
This is my first post, I was recommended this site by a friend.
The civic is my first Honda and 2nd car. It has definitely seen better days, and needs a loving hand. But it's a great daily driver. It has all those electronic features that makes your ride so much more relaxing.
I bought the car about 2 weeks ago, and my plans is to keep the style "JDM", even though that word is thrown around alot nowadays...
This is how the car looked when I bought it:

This is the dirty 1,5 VTEC monster :D

I started putting some bits and pieces on it. I started with a single sticker. I'd like to get some more stickers (that are relevant to the car) in the future.
Last week I bought a set of facelift taillights, and got them mounted:

And yesterday I mounted some red Honda logos. I'm not sure I like them though... They seem a bit flamboyant for my stock car.

After I've recived the next paycheck, the plans are:
- A Seibon OEM style carbon hood
- A Seibon Duckbill carbon spoiler
- A set of Rota Grids in gunmetal, 16 inch
- A pair of new headlights with black light housings
- A lowering
I will update the thread once in a while when I get some new stuff worth showing :D
Enjoy!

I like the rims! Looks like a decent little car to start with. Should end up well. Personally, I would leave the stock hood and get a frp wing. But then again, I have already been through my carbon phase. I read the title, and thought that it would be a good read(or view rather), preparation is good though. Keep it up man! WELCOME!

So I'm gonna need a new hood anyways, and I just like carbon fiber.
Great start, and the carbon hood sounds good if your stock one is dented, youll notice the weight difference is incredible.
I love your stock seats, it's a shame we never got that setup on the EK in the states.

Great car man, sounds like a good plan on upgrading it.
I noticed that your wipers, especially the rear one, are chipping off. Theres a great DIY around here to make them all nice and black again.

Your car looks good so far
I think your next priority should be to fix the rust in the rear wheel wells before it becomes a bigger problem, and spreads more

Good idea, I'd love to fix up the little stuff like that.
I know, I thought they were 17 or 18's when I got the car and I was like "Woah I'm gonna get me some 16's in a hurry!"
and then my friend found out they were 16's lol. I'm still gonna get the Rota Grids in 16 anyway and lower the car. Makes all the difference in the world!

Nice car man. I like the rims on there now. I think you'll change your mind on them as soon as you lower the car. Do u have any performance upgrade in mind? Or are you planning on all-show-no-go lol
Clean that damn engine bay.
I actually like the red Honda emblems. The rear one flows very well with your license plate.
Also, where is the tech? This belongs in the Appearance forum! Either way though, good luck with the build. Keep it clean.

^^he probably wants them because they are different. our cars here in America don't come with lights like those lol. OR those COOL bumpers. OR SEATS. OR SIDEMARKERS. USDM stuff is whack lol.
Hi there
Car has potential and new wheels look tight.
But I would remove all badges+the red H's
Taillights are really well chosen. Maybe you could paint your Headlights black, would give a great Contrast with your silver Paint.
And a nice Lip+Type-R style Grille would complete the Front
