Sup guys. I've a 94 Civic Lx 4d. I jusst recently finished a D15B swap as well as a auto to manual tranny swap. I let a friend of mine do the wiring because i was out of town and to my understanding it was to a simple task.

Anyways, I turn the car over and it cranks just fine after i jump it because the batter i have quite frankly sucks and i havent gotten a chance to replace it yet. Drive it around do, do whatever its just fine. When i turn it off and try and take my key out, the damn thing gets locked in there and doesnt like coming out. If the battery is completely dead it comes out without a problem. If there is power in the system, locked and locked.

What the heck is going on with this thing?

turn your wheel a little and it should come right out

 

you need to remove the relay that locks the key into the ignition it thinks your in drive instead of park so it keeps the key until you go to park. there is a relay on the fire wall by the clutch pedal area. i was told that if you remove it it won't keep the key anymore. i haven't tried mine out yet to see if it works. but it makes since.
