Default crx clutch question

Hey guys got a quick question for you... I have an 88 si with the stock D16a6,, I need a clutch and heard from someone that I can put in 90+ D series clutch if I put in a 92 civic's flywheel in it.. and then another friend tells me that it wont work cause cable clutch and hydraulic clutch have a different input shaft... can someone enlighten me here?? I believe the 88 crx uses a 200mm disc while the 90+ usese a 212mm disc..
