Acorn vs Cone seat lug nut questions
I have a 2001 ITR and bought a pair of OEM Honda wheels from another car. They have a bit of a funky offset so I need a wheel spacer. It's going to be 6mm or 11mm. I want to install longer wheel studs but the only ones I see are 1" longer than stock. I wouldn't be able to fit a stock wheel nut over the stud protruding from the wheel. I need some options on how to proceed.
I don't want to run a cone nut in a wheel designed for a acorn style. I can't find any open back acorn style nuts.
Could I cut the studs down? does anyone make a stud which is only half an inch bigger than stock? (2.35")
Could I machine out the acorn style seat in the wheel?
Does anyone know where to get open acorn style nut? or a washer which allows the use of a cone style in these wheels?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm stuck.

BTW, be careful about using the term "acorn". Sometimes it's used to refer to lug nuts with a ball-shaped seating area, which is what you mean. But sometimes it's used to refer to lug nuts which are as short as they are wide, which is not what you mean.
