Default port and polish head or no

does any one have a before and after experience. my build
1.b20b block and crank,eagle rods,itr spect pistons
2.b16 head,skunk2 stage2,550cc inj ,s100

im slevving the block for sure, but p&p im not sure. i only drive the car on the week ends.would it be a big jump in power.

It depends on whether the person doing the work on the ports knows what they are doing. If they don't have a flow bench don't bother. It also depends on whether the person designing the engine knows how to tie into the other parts to take advantage of the porting and polishing.

^^^ i second that....make sure the cat who is doing the pnp knows his stuff...**** for 100 i can do it for you but it dont mean it's worth it...

alaniz technologies. when i say big is if i would see a big bump in power in the dyno.

I don't see why you'd sleeve the block and not port the head. a good port job for a motor like that is probably worth at least 10-15hp if done by someone good.

How many horsepower is 'big'?

do it. Because if you build this motor without porting it, you'll regret it and want to port it down the road anyways. It can save you money in the long run by doing it now. Just make sure it's ported from a reputed porter

ok my setup
85mm itr spec pistons,eagle rods,ls crank,b16 head,p73 manifold,68mmtb,750cc injectors,s100,skunk2 stage 2 cams,supertech vt. hoppng to get 230hp at least or near that area.

That's not really an answer. How much is "big"? 5hp? 10hp? 15hp? 20hp? more?
