Debate Time: "Hella-Flush" Yay or Nay? ;)
So, the new trend is "Hella-Flush" now. And if you ain't got low offset wheels with stretched out tires and a super slammed drop with extreme negative camber, you ain't ****.... Nobody cares about how fast your car moves on the track or how well it corners or what et is at the drag strip or even how much whp you make or what kinda motor or forced induction setup you got....
How many of yall like this trend and how many yall hate it?
I feel like the Honda community has strayed away from function over form these days... What happened to people appreciating a clean built car that had performance mods that could make the car move and still looked good.. I get by the younger crowd kids(17-23) about when I am going to step up and make my car "Hella-Flush." All I can do is shake my head... Back then when I was messing with Hondas, we didn't have coilovers.. If you wanted to slam your car past the Eibach drop, you had to cut your coils.. LOL If you wanted HIDs for your car, you had to go in the junkyard and find a lexus or bmw with them and splice it to make it work... ****, Altezzas was the **** back in the days.... I had no clue what a car forum was.... Nopi Nats was the **** back then.... Neuspeed, DC Sports, Akimoto, Greddy, and HKS ruled... And wtf was a k20??? LOL
Its like all its about now is wheels and stance?? I almost feel like the Honda scene has moved backyards... Its funny I should mention this b/c in this month's Honda Tuning mag, 1 of the arcticles talks about this entire thing....
I personally don't see any different between the "Hella-Flush" hondas these days vs Mini-Truckin' style Hondas, Lowriders, and late 90s-early 2000s style imports with extreme body kits, crazy paint, and slammed stance....
Its like the "Hella-Flush" guys are today's "RICE." And I hate using the term rice b/c its a word used out of context, but you guys know what I mean.. Somebody's "RICE" isn't always the other person's....
Yay or Nay?
I just wanna hear everybody's opinion.... Lets hear it..... I know this is a touchy subject, but lets keep it civil.. We are still all Family here....
And maybe somebody can help set up a POLL FOR ME?

Goin even further back, I can remember sporting a set of springs, HKS exhaust, and rockin amber lights and sidemarkers was the shitz. With that being said, when did creating an aggressive stance become "Rice?" And if you ain't rollin slammed, you ain't rollin right. The only rice aspect of all this are the wannabe-flush hoodrats just slappin on a set of aggressive set of wheels and thinking there ride is flush.
You dragged this debate from ClubRSX to here, seriously?
I didn't bother reading anything you wrote because it simply comes down to this; people are going to modify their car to their likings.
We all have our OWN visions on what we do to our cars, so you do you and I'm gonna do me.

Cars that are executed well can look good, however a lot out there simply don't get the stretch, ride height, offset, camber etc correct. Then the cars look stupid, speaking of which this guy sounds like an idiot and his "hellaflush" ride looks like ***.

oh my god man.. okay this is precisely why everyone has their own car. Not for someone to tell them what to do with it, its people like you that make people do this stuff. Just leave it alone. people will do what they want to do.
Trending Topics
Different strokes for different folks. Those slammed, flush guys werent gong to be racing those cars anyway.
I think its topics like this, that move "the scene" backwards. Encouraging people to choose sides and escalate the negativity and hate(as if H-T doesnt have enough of that bullsh*t).
It is this exact mindset that keeps the Honda scene following trends, instead of starting them.

People should hook their cars up the way they want to. I don't care if a car is flush or not really. If it's clean and well executed, I'll probably like it. I do love some slammedness though.

he sounds like the ricer/thieves that run rampant in the tri-state area

car is not even low lol
i could take a nap in that wheel gap
damn it, I live in milwaukee! The guy in the video is not representing. Haha anyways, at first I was in to this crazy wheel fitment and tires trend. But, I found a brand new set of Advan rg2's and decided to forget it. Plus, the more I'm away from honda-tech the less I want my car to be influenced by random fades anyways. I wish more people would do their own thing so every car doesn't look the same.

I don't post much but know axix, and can say me and him don't see eye to eye on this, so here are my thoughts.
Trends will come and go, this one will die out soon enough. I have a feeling air ride is going to come up more soon because of the fitment crowd. I personally like the style to an extent. I think there is a limit to where stretch is acceptable and where it is just dumb. Most things in modesty are nice, but when you throw some 185's on 8" wide wheels it just makes the car dumb looking to me. There are some cars that can pull it off, I know one drifter who does this because he can get ahold of the smaller tires cheaper and easier, which makes sense for him to do this really.
I can still sit here and appreciate whatever car is in front of me because it takes work to get some car on a static drop to have perfect fitment, just as it does to get some sick power on a k20 35r setup tuned right. The fitment crew has their place, but going around a pissing in other peoples wheaties over their style isn't going to get the car scene anywhere.
History repeats itself, but there are some things in history people have learned from. I can see how stance can be seen as the new show car in the way it is done up, and looks pretty sitting and rolling and most of the time isn't insanely fast. But I think most have looked back and seen the insane things that were done in the 90's to show cars and think its a little too much, so most show cars that I see now are done with modesty and know if they step out too far they will get shitted on by others....I wonder if thats how we want the scene stay, cause to me it seems like eventually no one will step out and do anything crazy that could be good or bad.
