Just a year ago I bought a 1992 Integra GSR. I got the car cheap because when started an awful grinding sound was coming from the transmission. I test drove it once to get an idea of the problem and see how well everything else functioned. Till 5 days after I bought it i said to hell with it and took the transmission out to find the problem. The previous owner had installed a stage 2 clutch in which all but one bolt was tightened down all the way...
Well by the time it got in my hands the bolt had finally loosened itself all the way and started being thrown around in the transmission itself. (my suspiousion at first was the bearing just needed greasing up cause that was what it sounded like) Well it had gone so long without being checked out by this kid that the bolt head had actually torn a hole in the transmission. So now that the Teg has been on jack stands for over a year... I need a new one... dumb.


Im looking for a good conditon GSR YS1 (short geared) Transmission to throw back into the car so I can finally drive the dang thing for the first time. Post or PM me with offers. Thanks!

 

I have a JDM S1 (B16) cable trans if you're interested! It needs a new 2nd gear syncro.

 

I have a j1 b16 cable tranny.

 

I bought a car with the same issue before. I was able to get the case welded and it has worked fine for about 2 years now. Might be worth looking in to.
