HELP ASAP
so i got a 96 civic ex and i just droped a d16z6 swap in and im having trouble with the wireing harness cuz the motor came out of a obd1 car and mine is a obd2 car what should i do??

First off, the harness on your old motor should be used for installing the new motor. Second, you're in the Mid-Atlantic classifieds - hardly what I'd call Indiana, and you're not selling anything. Maybe you're WTB help? If so, still wrong regional forum.
You need the proper ECU for it & convert down to OBD1. Boomslang sells conversion harnesses to make that easy as ****.
Otherwise you're going to need an OBD2 distributor, an ECU that'll run the motor, I don't remember if the injectors change from 1-2? And anything that's different plug wise / signal wise will need to be changed (distributor, location of some sensors, etc.)

just you dont need a computer your obd2 one itiwll run it fine cuz the y8 motor is pretty much the same but you will be throwing codes for differnt stuff iat plug and iac and all that is the same all i had to change was distrib and alt plug i think or use a dist and a alt from the stock motor that was in you 96 ex
