ls/vtec torqe specs/build
hello. guys n chicks
mhh well where should i start. i bought a da 91 limited edition hehe
and the block stud holes are a mess there striped and over torque i had a quick and simple question this is my first build like over hual i bought a legit working b18b block and i transfer d over all the parts alternator pulley ect. bt it seems i cant take of the flywheel? and no im on a budget so i cant afford a 50 dollar flywheel removal tool so my question is since im noob at a rebuild i have all the required parts to make this ls /vtec work. and the time im very patient so if i transfer over the new b16 head freshly built and torque everything down right and the tranny and all the bit here and there will it run right ? or is ther something im missing i got all the torque specs from the acura/honda Manuel soo? and any advice would be great. in advance i haven't tryed to start it im barley in the over hual processes over doing all the work i have a buddy that know alout and he said it shuld start if i do it right the first time just confuied if i shuld start doing this please dont bash me on the subject just here to learn thanks =]
oh yeah i know i gota tap the block.. and yes the motor was running befor i pulld it out but ther was a leek in the head gasket the guy who sold it to me told me straight up its the block studs where they go in its stripd within the block

Wtf.
Punctuation would do this cry for help some good. I read it and got nothing from the statement at all besides... you're building an lsvtec on an apparantly very low budget. You already own the b16 head, but you want to mate it with a block that needs to visit the machine shop for disassembly and inspection. I'd suggest you print this out and make it your bible for the build:

Also save some money, if you're too broke to buy a $50 tool then the lsvtec isn't the budget build for you. Good luck

i was in such in a hurry because i left out of state. the new block has been inspected already. great compression scores. can i run the b16 head without the vtec because the block hasn't been tappd, but the head is already previously tappd. can i plug the head?

As far as tapping the block to feed the head, that's not required. You can just use a sandwich plate to run the line up to the head.
