code 20 and screwed up gauge cluster???
Alright all this time i thought my map sensor was all funked up but I was never throwing a code....(thought this becuase my tach would jump all over when I got on it)......
My temp gauge would also fluctauate really easily......well tonight I was out with some buddys doing our annual wed. night racing and I had just raced a 97 civic EX with i/h/e...and a vtec controller.....(hung right with him btw) and I was turning around and just for ***** and giggles I hit the hazards.....well my temp gauge which lately has been running hot but then moves around alot....went crazy....and i was like what the hell.....then I pulled into the parking lot area....and used my turn signal...doing about 5mph my left turn signal on..and my tach went nuts....like a limp lil needle.....tryin to get it up....
so then I turn my signal on to the right and it did it again....im also noticing the opposite arrow turn signal....is slightly luminated when your flashing the other one..>I personally think my cluster is all funked up.....I am however throwing a code 20 for electrive over load....how can I fix this??? I already unplugged my battery redid it reset the ecu and it worked fine until again lately
BTW im throwing a code 1 and code 17 but ive already got a new 02 sensor...and VSS sensor just havent replaced um yet ......this is on a d15b2 block...a6 head..and mpfi convertion.....

dayum thats some messed up stuff ~ alot of times when your getting a VSS it in the circut. most likely somthing is loose or shorted or not put in the right place in your cluster harness. try the back of the cluster dissconnect and reconnect all the plugs and check for shorts or broken wires.
I will....ive also got my old cluster....see I change dashes back and put a different cluster in...might have been screwed up......
so well see.....and to think...ive changed my headgasket...had honda torque down the head.....adjusted my vavles( I recomend this btw cant even here my car at idle) and I changed the thermstat...and flushed the whole cooling system as well as a few coolant pipes...and none of it had worked...I seriously jus think its the gauge cluster after tonight.....
I drove her home on the highway on almost H(just to give her a test)....she ran absolutly fine....Im on not dumping fuel and not burning coolant...got home popped the hood and still as cool and quit as if I just drove her to the grocery store next door.......I think im getting false readings

code 20- Electronic Load Detector(ELD)
make sure its hooked up...its near the strut hat of you passenger side...it has something to do with your alternator power...not sure if this is why ur cluster is screwy

oh its ELD...no probelm...i couldnt figure out what the damn thing ment for the longest time either...just never had it hooked up
