91 crx si harness on 88 crx si for b16 swap
the driver side plug is different its a circle and the 88 is a rectangle it has 2 extra wire do you guys know what they do the 2 extra wires or what i could do ???
I've done the swap using hasport wiring harness.
but, to be honest with you, I have NO clue what you're talking about. What plug? What's the plug for? What color is the plug?
need more specifics.

on the driver side strut tower there are 2 plugs a green one which is fine and a white one the harness on the motor is a circle with 8 wire and the one on the 88 si is a rectangle with 6 what should i do
91 si harness wont work on an 88 or 89
88 SI has to be replaced with 88 SI only
89 with 89
90-91 with 90-91
so stop what youre doing and get an 88 harness
they are pinned differently on the shock tower
As far as rectangle plug, circle plug, wtf are you talking about?

the guy that had the same problem as me , he said the harness that goes to the injectors has 8 wires on the Civic Si harness and the one I got has 6...cant splice 2 extra wires that dont exist!............... why cant i just not use the other 2 wires or just splice em ??

cuz a lot of stuff is pinned differently. even the plugs that "plug in" might not be pinned the same everywhere else..gauge cluster, ecu, etc. sorry man, you need an 88 harness, or a 90-91 car
eraser is right.. I have delt with this personally.. from my experience.. I am comfortalbe saying
88s only
89s only
90-91 interchangable...

What about if you get the part that the plug you have plugs into? Like the injectors and stuff from an 89 if you have an 89 harness and an 88 motor. I'm not exactly sure if that makes any sense because I don't know where the plug actually plugs into, but it seems that replacing the part with the right year would be easier than replacing the harness.
I agree with Eraser and SuperCivic on their points. Rule of thumb is always use the harness of the vehicle that is getting the swap. Then use plugs, wires from the donor engine to modify the existing harness. Most of the time the swapped engine has their harness cut anyway.
Sometimes its easier to use the DONOR engine harness if it is intact. For example, I recently swapped a 95 U.S. GSR into 94 U.S. EG Hatch using the GSR harness. It was CAKE!!!
