i just converted my obd1 dizzy to plug in my obd2a harness since i am using a obd2a harness with a obd1 engine. I have a 1996 honda civic dx. I converted the dizzy plug, tried to start it and no spark... Checked all the wires, seemed like it was fine, when i tried starting it, the power would just loose itself. I tried to start it, a huge pop noise went off... I turn my key to see if i get power, my gauges get power, but my head unit light just dims, dash light barely is lighting up, headlights barely turn on, and i try to start it but it wont do anything? Seems like power is loss, i charged the battery and still nothing? please help!

Battery cables. Clean the terminals and clean where the battery ground connects to the frame.

 

the thing is, before when i had a my old dizzy on it, it started perfectly, can it really do that much damage?

 

Could be a very bad coincedence, or it could be with your dizzy. If so, I don't know much more.

 

well i mean, i had the dizzy off the head, i still turned the key, the headlights, tailights just dim, and car wont crank.
