I have them and they're great, super stiff. I use 'em for my daily EK hatch.

You could, however functionforms dont have the best handling when compared to a koni/gc, and pic.

Yes it defiently is worth the extra 400. Koni/gc is one of the best setup for the money.

Somewhere around 900 with front top hats.

How can you say that? Is there a basis of comparisson? How does it not have the best handling when compared to the others? There are to many variables to make this assumption... A lot goes into that statement. Spring rates, damper adjustment, the drivers ability, tires... don't have the best handling.... I'd take it with a grain of salt... I do not own a set, I own kyb/GC and I hate them. KYB warranty is ****, and my GC are jacked... I'm not back up F&F, I am just stating there are to many variables to say this and that is better... to the OP, if your just cruising and want to go a little faster, get better tires... the only 4 points that make contact with the road... IMHO, or if you want lowered stance then get whatever will suit your ride height wishes, R&D is done by the good companies, that is why you pay more for better products (most of the time).

I can say it very easly, i have experience with both, koni/gc is better.
My statement is correct and has been said quite a few times, functionforms suit a daily driver just fine, or for some crusing, however they dont do well at all on a track when compared to a Koni/ground control or PIC set up. Shock dynos will show it also, koni/gc owns functionform

You are correct that alot of variables go into that, and you will never see me saying it doesnt. I drove the same car with the same setup exluding coilovers. 26mm front sway bar 22 rear, asr. 205-40-16 tires. I will say from experience koni/gc will own a functionform setup anyday, anywhere.

i had/have koni sports, i personally dont like them, the design of the circlip, has scared me once, and will scare me again when the other side mess's up, im saving my money for some good stuff, im also doing alot of my own research, ive read all the good about koni, but never experienced it, also warrenty SUCKS, and also plz dont even bring up the installation process as a factor of it messing up,

whatever you get make sure the spring perch is welded on the shock bodie,
ive orderd some tein springs, and im probly throwing those on stock shocks till i decide what shocks i really want

Koni warranty sucks? the few times i have seen them not waranty something is, because they were not the orginal owner, and the other was the problem was clearly the installers fault i have only heard of one issue with the circlip and koni replaced the shock within 3 days.
Not to say your wrong, but there have way to many people that have noithing but experiences with them.
Bilsteins are also great shocks.

staying in one lane in the canyons was so easy.. GMR!! whats a good size upgrade for a front sway bar? 95 coupe. ej1..

i have function and form type 1's and i must say that they are pretty awesome. they improved the steering and the handling by a great bit. I drive the car daily and i don't have a single complaint. For the price, well lets just say nothing can beat them.

It would be cool to hold some competition too compare the two.. the cars would need to have everything but the coilovers to be identical... oh yea i use to get all kinds of wheel hop... all kinds of vibrations.. its all gona i thought it was bad tie rod problems so i replaced both but it didn't go away til i got the koni gc
