i have a 95 Si. when i push the button it makes a clicking sound but doesnt open the sunroof. i have checked fuses 16 and 19 under the dash and they are both good

 

had the same problem. what i did was change the relay for the sunroof. its this 2 little grey thing that powered the sunroof. mine is a em1 so it might be lil diff. give that a try!!! it suck not to have the sunroof not working.

 

I know this is an obvious question.. but have u tried jus givin it a lil push? Mine was doin the same thing, and after tryna go thru wires, it was jus in need of a lil pushing assistance haha

 

^+1 to giving a little push my eg Si does that sometimes when it is cold make sure not a hard push and do it to the rear of glass

 

i tried to give it a little push and that did not work. also, my intermittent wiper is not working. my other wiper speeds work. could these 2 be related to the same problem?

 

must be relays or motors man but yeah i say check your motors and when and if you get your sunroof popped make sure yo grease the rails it helps somewhat

 

i replaced my main relay just last week

main relays and sun roof are diff my friend. pop out ur dash under the wheel. there should be grey relays. try switching them. what happen to mine was that one of the relay gone bad so i was only able to open and not close. when i switch i was able to close and not open. this might be the problem. could be the motor as well. good luck

 

Same thing happened to me, but part of my wind deflector arm had broken off and gotten trapped. I eventually just messed with it till it gone so far back it didn't interfere with the operation of the sunroof anymore.

was placing a big order of honda parts so i went ahead and bought a new sunroof switch. i changed out the switch and it still doesnt work. any ideas?

More than likely relay. Been there with the same problem, relay would click over put wouldn't send current to the motor. Only difference is that mine wouldn't close (real fun, right)? Try tapping the relay a bit with your hand or a screwdriver, see if it frees up, could check the terminals on it as well. If anything, just replace it.

 

i bought a 95 eg hatch a few months ago. sun roof didnt work and after reading this then trying the "push" method it worked. thanks for the help fellas! now onto the clutch and rear main seal replacement.

 

i cant find the moonroof relays when i am looking up under the dash. does anyone have a picture they can post so i know exactly what to look for?

 

i checked every wire to ground and all i hear are clicks. the sunroof doesnt open or tilt. i have not checked the ground wire for continuity cause im not sure what im supposed to do. i do have a multimeter

hey anyone know how to maintain the sunroof? i have a eh3 and my sun roof works but gets stuck when closing have to pull it closed while pushing the button. i would really like to get it to open and close properly. please help. what grease.... how to clean. you know general maintnance.

I had a sunroof on my 95 EJ1 that didn't like to slide. I lubed the tracks with silicone spray lube, and it's worked like a dream ever since.
