wats the best tires?
wat kind of tires should i get? i need 205/45/17 b/c this is suppose to not throw off my speedo. plus i want to protect my rims. i have an 02 si. i wanted nitto 555 but they dontn have 45 series. should i get yokohama paradas spec 2 or the avs es100? i need soemthing that will grip good in dry and wet surface and goood cornering. does the yokos wear out fast? thanks.
Any other wheel size aside from stock will throw off your speedo, but not by very much, so don't stress it.
Larger rims will read about slower, while smaller ones will read faster. Try the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712. From what I hear, it's an excellent street tire. IMO the 555s aren't really all that. I don't know about the AVSs though.

im thinking abotu the paradas b/c its under $100 but does anyone know if the treads wear out fast. should i go w/ 215/40/17 or 205/45/17? im getting 17x7. i know kumhos are good but it doesnt last long.

so are you saying that the parada spec 2 are good. b/c thats the ones i've been talkin about.
here, go to http://www.tirerack.com
they have owner survey's for all the tires they sell, include Yokohama, Kumho, etc. From there, talking to others, and being in a Mustang at 120mph when one of the tires blew, and didn't make us crash, I chose the Bridgestone Potenza RE730. They have new version of the tire that has reduced road noise.
are you talkin about the potenza that doesnt make much road noise? i wish i could get potenzas but the price is just way to high for me. the info i got about the paradas i got from tirerack.com. everyone that commented on the parada said that it has good traction on dry and wet surface and cornering is good too.

roommate has parada spec2 in 16".
great tire, but not too grippy compared to some others out there.
FAR better than Nitto 450 and slightly better than AVS es100
too bad they cant get 555 in the size you need.
thats why 17" rims are
but you gotta do what you gotta do. My vote is parada spec 2.
