When replacing valve cover, is there a certain amount you need to tighten?

When replacing valve cover, is there a certain amount you need to tighten?
b-series motor, re-spraying my valve cover and just want to know when i put it back on is there a certain amount i have to tourque it down? or just do it till its tight?
