Icon2 Mystery suspension...

So I recently acquired a set of coilovers from a friend of mine off of his CRX. He says they are Ground Controls, but after looking at GC's online I'm not so sure. What do ya'll think? No clue as to the spring rates, although on two of the springs there is a sticker that says "AAR194".

Also, they fit loosely on the two of the shocks, but on the other two have rubber sleeves that fit around the shock to keep them steady. Is this ghetto-rigged, or do these come with that?

You can see in one of the pictures what looks like something that once was foam rubber in the tops of the sleeves that kept it from being loose. It basically falls out in pieces when I remove the sleeve from the shock, is this part purchaseable separately, I.E. not have to buy the coilover system to get it?

And last but not least, in the other pic you can see how worn one of the sleeves is. Would it be ok to ride on that as long as it isn't adjusted that low, or is this whole system unsalvageable?

Thanks for the info guys.

PS, I know it looks all sorts of f*cked up. I'm not planning on slamming my ride nor riding on the stock shocks it came on. Just a little disclaimer to avert some flameage, lol.

i can tell you that in the pic whare its on a shock it is up side down, you need to flip the sleeve and not the collar. at the end of the sleeve theres a unthreaded portion, that needs to be facing down.

Damn, that blows. I rode in the car when my friend had them on stock shocks, they felt ok. Maybe I'll get a cheap stance setup while I'm saving for the GC/Koni's.

Thanks everyone!

those are in no way, shape, or form of a product made by ground controll. the material on the threaded coils are shitty material, the springs are sized too small, and the quality of the ground controlls will show, even after 5 years the paint and numbers on the coil spring would still show. not to mention the fact ive never see a sleeve on a ground controll spring kit never messed up like that.
