my friends driver side door will not open....it is closed all the way and dont know what to do since i cant get the door panel off. can anyone give me some advice to what i can do to fix the problem or how to even get the door off to replace it? thanks for the help guys

 

got the door panel off....all linkage looks good and moves when door handle is pulled...latch just doesnt want to move.....tried oil....how the hell do i get this door to open

 

pull on the rods to the latch manually. it should open. gotta pull the right rod though and pull it in the same way the door handle does. my guess is that it needs oil and work it free manually without closing the door/ the striker bolt may be messed up somehow as well. or something in the latch in the door jamb or the striker bolt is loose. try pulling the rods in there

 

latch is shot , they freeze up and will not work anymore. had it happen to me on my old accord. new from honda 200 bucks., have to take a big chisel and break it from the inside. makes a mess of the door but i will give after a while. thats what honda told me to do and it worked.

 

This just happen to my sister Kia. It sucked getting the door open.
