Here is the issue. i helped a friend pick up a 90 accord EX for $200 from a friend of a friend, engine runs solid but needs clutch and a few other odds and ends, good project car for him to cut his teeth on (total NOOB!!)

the car fires up and runs for awhile and than at a random point but no more than 30 minutes it will die and will not turn over again until after it cools back down.

it does not sputter when it dies, it is just as if you turned the key off.

from what i was told he never had a problem with that until he installed a remote start and a push button ignition. so i went threw the rats nest of wires and undid everything back to stock, got it to fire up again but sure enough once it warmed up it died again.

checked the codes and it popped a code 15 which from what i am finding is a bad ignition, before i send him out to get a part he may not need any other thoughts or things you recommend to check?

also we have checked it is still getting fuel when it won't fire up and it is getting spark, so that's what has me scratching my head

 

a friend thinks it may be the coil that malfunctions once it warms up. anyone have any thoughts?

firend got inpatient and picked up a coil and like i told him it was not it, i'm just hopeing that is just the ignition switch, thank you for being the only person to reply to the add. lol
