i have a 95 prelude si h22a swap w/ h23 tranny 5sp, and the car is COMPLETLY stock. K long story short, couple weeks ago my speedo stopped working, so i replaced my VSS (vehicle speed sensor). Still no speedo, then i happened to notice i had no vtec, so second thought ECU. No everything was good. Anyway i tore my car apart today and seen that the actualy housing for the VSS (the bottom piece that is actually connected to the tranny, and then the VSS plugs into it from the top) is broke, literally snapped, dont know how, so i asked the mechanic at my work and he said its the speedo gear housing. and we could not find anything on that part on alldata. so my question is does anyone know if i can get this part maybe from the dealer or am i gunna have to take my chances out in a junk yard, thanks.

 

i would say your best bet is a junkyard. dealer will KILL you.

also try majestic honda. google it.

lastly, i have an auto h23 transmission sitting around. if you could get me a picture or something of what you need, if i can get it off ill send it to you for cheap. i dont see why the manuals and autos would be different since he VSS is the same, but you never know. let me know! or else its just going to go to the junkyard to get melted!

 

the h23 auto vss is what i have, if you did a h22 in a h23 auto lude like i did your vss has power steering lines looped through the vss, so you have to close those lines off if you get a vss off a manual, and not a h23 auto.

 

i did that same swap ill hook u up with a working vss for 40 shipped

 

damn thanks guys for all the help, my 5sp. tranny also has two power steering lines running to the VSS. ill do some research and see if the auto and manuals are the same, but im 99% sure they are. just to verify i dont need the VSS i need the LOWER HOUSING part. There is two bolts for the VSS, then for the gear housing there is ONE bolt with a LONG head on it, and thats the bolt that holds the gear housing to the tranny. here is the picture alldata gives you, i know its not that good, but if someone knows what part iam talking about and has a WORKING one they want to sell me that would be great.
