1st make sure your oil level is correct. Next check the connection of the wire that
attaches to the pressure switch, it may be loose. If it is tight and has a good contact
then maybe there is a break somewhere in the wire or the pressure switch is playing up.
Could be something else but that would seem to be the most likely causes to me. Btw
you didnt mention which gen prelude you have and if it is modified.

Hey I have the same issue with my 4th gen lude that I just bought last week. The oil light will flash for some time, and while I'm still driving it will go away. It's comes and goes without any sign of lost of power, or any feel of the motor vibrating more.

I was about to change out the oil pressure switch until I saw your post. Were you able to find anything else?

I had heard that the return line in the oil pan may be clogged, and that will cause the OIL LIGHT to go on too.

Let me know what you think, I'm about to swap out the oil switch.

When the oil light flashes it means low pressure, both of you need to quit driving your cars and hook a pressure gauge up and test the oil pressure. Most common causes of low oil pressure are clogged pickup screens in the pan and bad oil pumps.

Default *** flashing/blinking oil light on 4th gen prelude ***

Thanks minilogoguy18 and BlackCatt!

I'll remove the oil pan and check for clogged screens. If it's not this, next would be to check the oil pump.

Any info checking and removal of oil pump be greatly appreciated!

Hey xxtommytom52xx, how goes ur issue? Were you able to fix ur problem?
