Default Good Deal???

just trying to get some thoughts, i can get a 97 lude with a locked up motor for 500 bucks, 5 speed manual , cloth interior with 199k on it, seems like a pretty clean car but the guy traded a car for it and doesnt know jack about it or its history, just knows its locked up and the guy gave him another motor with it and it was bad too. i looked around and motors seem pretty pricey and even more exspensive if its a sh which im not sure it is.

Doesnt sound like too bad of a deal, kinda high miles. Your gonna probably have to replace the cv axels, bushings and brakes. Swap a h23vtec in there, i have seen them for around 900 shipped.

Miles is nothing but a number. I have an h22a4 bb6 with 164,000 running strong. But ofcourse it was a 1 owner before I purchased it. I really think these cars can last forever if you just take care of them correctly.
