building an a6 mini-me have a few questions
i am building a a6 mini-me swap for my 88 crx si what i need to know is
heres what i have......
d16a6 block
d16y8 head
d16z6 crank
d16z6 rods (same as all d-series i think just what they came out of) use z6 pistons as well new of course tho
and a d16y8 aluminum oil pan
what i want to know is....
which dizzy can i use i will be running obd1 on a chipped ecu
can i use the y8 pan on my a6 block
which crank pulley do i use i will only be running the alterantor
and last what timing belt is used z6 or y8 or are they the same i dunno
i also enventually want to run a small amount of boost on this motor like 6 psi i ran the comp calculator and it gives a static comp of 9.45:1 would this be too high to run like 5-6 psi on i will be using arp head studs...
any positve imput is welcome thanks

use the y8 distributor and just wire your engine harness for an obd2 distributor plug. the obd1 and obd2 distributors are exactly the same except for the plugs.
use a y8 timing belt. i'm not sure if the z6 is the same as the y8 but since you are using the y8 head I would just use the y8 belt to be on the safe side.
crank pulley, i don't think there is a difference in the d series crank pulleys so whichever you have, use it.
that compression might will be fine. you could probably up the compression a little and still have no worries.
not sure about the oil pan though. maybe someone else can has the answer for that.

by crank pulley i meant the harmonic balancer
well i stuck it on the bottom of my block all the holes line up im just wondering if itll seal looks like a weird little gasket that goes in there lol
keep the info coming
